Protein Cookie Dough Bites

Edible cookie dough made with 5 simple ingredients that will satisfy your sweet cravings in a healthy way.

Confession: I have a major sweet tooth. Phew. I feel so much better now getting that off my chest! But if you have been around for a while you know that’s really not surprising.  Instead of (trying) to ignore my cravings for something sweet and then binging later because I feel deprived, I’ve learned to honor them and find healthier versions.

These chocolate chip cookie dough bites sound way unhealthier than they actually are. So you can breathe easy! Note: you won’t actually be eating raw cookie dough but it definitely will taste like you are. And you only need 5 ingredients to make this yummy treat: peanut butter, pure maple syrup, almond flour, protein powder, and chocolate chips. I bet you already have these on hand too!

I used Healthy Skoop Vanilla Protein Powder for this recipe. Both Noah and I really love this plant-based protein powder. There are no funky ingredients, it’s dairy-free, gluten-free, we really love the taste (which is super hard to find a good tasting plant-based protein powder that also has great ingredients!), and it doesn’t upset our stomach. You can grab some here and use code KARA10 to save on your order.

The rest of the ingredients are super simple and you can find them anywhere! If you want to make this completely dairy-free use dairy-free chocolate chips. I used these for this recipe.

You can totally eat these however you like but I love eating them not only for a treat but for a little pre-workout fuel. I love this especially if I’m doing a morning workout and don’t want to eat a full breakfast before. They are also great as a post-workout treat too. Really, you can’t go wrong and can’t eat them whenever or however!

I highly recommend making a double batch because these are highly addictive and they never last long around my house!
